Eliana would of done this all day if we would of stayed outside to watch her!! She loves trying to imitate Fadi when he does crazy jumps into the pool. Check out her moves...I give them a 10!!

that stubborn tooth...

So its been 4 weeks since Eliana has discovered that her first tooth was loose. Still does not wanna come out!! Trust me, we have definitely tried!! last night i looked at it and you can see her adult tooth starting to poke out from behind - I just want to get the baby tooth outta there. We have also discovered that the tooth next to the original loose one is now starting to wiggly - The tooth fairy might go broke in the next week or so :)

Summer Fun

Fadi's brother and his family came over to help replace the sliders that we had in the back of the house. The girls had a great time in the water. Yasmeen wasn't too thrilled about the sprinkler but she LOVED chasing Eliana back and forth!

wiggly tooth

Eliana has had a loose tooth for about 2 weeks now. She is very fascinated that the tooth fairy will come and give her money for her tooth! She would like to get the money and "put it in my piggy bank so Baba can take it to my bank account and I can be rich!! " She is a bit sad because I told her that the tooth fairy will take her tooth in exchange for the money that she leaves. "ang, I would really like it to be in my scrapbook like my first haircut curl is in there". Have no fear Eliana, I will write a letter to the tooth fairy and ask if I can have your tooth back. She was very happy with this. So tonight, after she brushed her teeth, she looks up at me and says, "ang, lets just pull my tooth out, I don't care if it bleeds" Yuck -my stomach was sooo queezy at that point! (P.S. please excuse the explicits in the background - Fadi was trying to the fix the shower :) )

Almost a 2-wheeler

Eliana has been asking for a new bike but the deal that she is not able to get a new one until she can learn how to ride her Dora bike on two wheels. This is what she has been doing lately...she doesn't quite get it - but it is a good workout for Fadi too :)

Mother's Day

Eliana and Fadi surprised me yesterday with my mother's day present!! It is a new charm for my pandora bracelet! This brings my charm total to 14 :) (eliana counted)

Eliana said, "Ang, close your eyes and open your hands, I have a surprise for you!"

I did as I was told and she places the box in my hand and says "open your eyes, Happy Monther's Day". I knew what it was as soon as I saw the wrapping! I opened the box and there was a charm of a little girl and Eliana says " I picked the little girl one because it is me and you can take me everywhere with you!"

Thank you Eliana and Fadi for suprising me with that awesome gift!!!! I love you!

talkin to the big guy....

E: ang, do you know what God told me last night at bedtime?
A: what did he say Eliana?
E: that after you and baba get married, that you will have a baby girl in your belly!
A: is that all he said?
E: no. he said that you will have 3 babies.

again, Fadi and I are speechless :)

you didn't know????

Drive home from the YMCA today after my workout and Eliana was asking me questions about what Fadi and I did after she left on Sunday and on Monday. So we were exchanging our stories or the day and 1/2 that we don't see her and the end on the conversation went like this...
E: What did you have for dinner on sunday and monday?
A: Sunday we had broccoli and cheese soup and Monday we had steak, potatoes and salad.
E: well how about I have some of the soup that you had on sunday?
A: I am sorry honey but there isn't anymore.
E: where did it all go?
A: baba and I had it for dinner and then took what was left to lunch on monday.
E: I wish you could of saved me some.
A: Aww eliana if I know that you wanted some I would of saved some for you.
E: well you said that you know everything.....

How a 5 year old can put you in your place:)

She has potential

After gymnastics class today, Eliana's instructor came out to talk to me. She said that she was very impressed with how Eliana has progressed in such a short amount of time. She can't get over how much upper body strength she has. Ms. Rowena went over a few things with me that we can work on at home and she said that these little things will help her progress through to level 2. Eliana needs to work on her stretching, flexibilty, and balance. She also suggested that we find some place that would mimic a balance beam. Of if we knew someone that could build a balance beam. I said that Fadi would be able to build it. She also said that if Eliana has the passion to want to continue in gymnastics in the long run then she will go far :) Of course when we walked outside she wanted to call Fadi. Here is how their conversation went...
E: Baba - can you build me a balance beam?
F: A balance beam????
E: I need to practice on a balance beam because Ms. Rowena said I have great potential !
What is this girl going to come up with next????

Beach Babe

We had one of our first trips to the beach today for the year and it was a great time!!! We met up with Heather at Sand Key Park. Eliana got over her initial fear of the waves as they crashed! It took some time, alot of encouraging, reassuring, water up her nose and down her throat, but it all came back to her by the end of the day! She was a pro :)
